As usual Apple has leaked specs “by accident.” It’s so funny how we all can’t wait even a couple of days to hear this stuff, and at the same time I always wonder why Apple has to keep secrets. I mean like who are they competing with anyway? Even as an engineer at a large corporation I am never able to get my Apple reps to leak info to me. Apple is about the only company unwilling to give a roadmap to corporate customers. This really sucks about Apple, but what can I do? Even though the Apple stuff is way overpriced I still love my Mac, and I hate Microsoft more than I dislike the prices and attitude Apple gives to corporate customers.

The specs posted to the Apple’s Web site list the G5 as being available in three speeds: 1.6GHz, 1.8GHz and a dual 2GHz with up to a 1GHz processor bus; up to 8GB of DDR SDRAM; Fast Serial ATA hard drives; AGP 8X Pro graphics options from Nvidia or ATI; three PCI or PCI-X expansion slots; three USB 2.0 ports; one FireWire 800 and two FireWire 400 ports; and optical and analog audio in and out. The machines will reportedly also be Bluetooth and AirPort Extreme ready when they ship to consumers.

I found another site that has screenshots posted: for all of you that, like me, need to see what it looks like before Apple releases 10.3 in to public beta.
